A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
Who am I
Hey! I'm Rodrigo, I hold a PhD in Language Studies from UFF( 2024) and a Master's in Language Studies at PUC-RJ (2018). I have a double degree in Portuguese and English Languages and Literature from UFF (2015). I taught English for academic purposes in the Languages without Borders Program (2013-2015) and worked as an Online Tutor at the Ministry of Education's LwB Online Teacher Development Course (2016-2017). In addition, I have worked as a Sessional Lecturer at UFF (2019-2021) and as an Assistant Professor of English at FTESM (2022). Nowadays, I do research in Applied Linguistics, with an emphasis on Language and Technology, Discourse Analysis and Digital Media.

PhD IN LANGUAGE STUDIES - UFF
2020 - 2024
Academic production carried out during my PhD course at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). My doctoral research consists of creating understandings about the sociocultural uses of digital games through Critical Analysis of Digital Discourse, so that we can discuss and understand the social reach of this media from the perspective of Applied Linguistics.
MASTER IN LANGUAGE STUDIES - PUC-RIO
2016-2018
Academic production carried out during my Master's course at PUC-Rio. My Master's research, part of the project: Discursive practices and evaluation in the construction of meanings in pedagogical and professional contexts, consisted in the discursive analysis of polarization in a Youtube channel and its relationship with imagined communities on the internet . The work reached this point after several reconfigurations, the result of critical reflection on the relevance of my research. The project was guided by Prof. Dr. Adriana Nogueira Accioly Nobrega
